Beginning Tuesday evening, Southern Baptists will gather for the annual meeting. This meeting consists of times of worship, prayer, and discussion of business items in need of attention. Please pray that the messengers, platform leaders, and those behind the scenes seek to honor God with every decision that is discussed and decided upon.

1. Pray that God would be glorified.

Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.
– Daniel 2:20-21a

2. Pray that we would look to Christ’s example and walk in unity and love with one another.

And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth. – 2 Timothy 2:24-25

3. Pray that we would come before God in humble repentance.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. – James 5:16

4. Pray that the Holy Spirit would empower us to fulfill the great commission.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” – Matthew 20:29-20

Please pray daily for the gathering of the Southern Baptist Convention on June 14-15.
